What services should a contractor add to Google Business Profile?

List the work you want, can perform, and can explain. A crowded service menu does not help when it promises jobs your crew does not take.

What services should a contractor add to Google Business Profile?

Build the list around the jobs you want

Start with the jobs that make up the business: water-heater repair, panel upgrades, roof replacement, drain cleaning, or whatever the crew regularly completes. Then add real specialty work that brings good jobs. Do not add every related phrase you can think of.

Use the category as the guardrail

The primary category describes what the business is. The service list describes the work within it. Google provides suggested services for many categories and allows custom services when the list is missing something. Keep custom names plain. Google says prices, phone numbers, personal information, gibberish, and rude wording may be rejected.

Review it when the business changes

Remove services you stopped offering and add a new core service when you are ready to take the work consistently. Match the wording with the service pages on the website and with the person answering the phone.
