Wrong listing hours
Your Google hours keep changing. Find the conflicting source.
Correct the listing, then make the website and other trusted business records agree. Use special hours for one-off closures.
Ask about my listingThe direct answer
Google may be reconciling several versions of your schedule.
Check the hours in the Business Profile, the website footer and contact page, major directories, and any location pages. A stale source can keep feeding a different answer. Also review owner and manager access so you know who can make direct changes.
Use regular hours for the normal weekly schedule and special hours for holidays or temporary changes. If the business is appointment-only or answers emergency calls outside office hours, describe that accurately instead of forcing it into a misleading 24-hour schedule.
Make one schedule authoritative
Write down the normal customer-facing hours and confirm the person who answers the phone agrees. Apply that schedule everywhere customers rely on it.
- Google Business Profile
- Website contact and location content
- Facebook and major directories
- Call answering or voicemail message
- Booking system
Handle holidays before customers search
Add special hours ahead of closures, shortened days, or seasonal changes. Google may ask owners to confirm holiday hours; respond even when the regular schedule remains open.
Watch the listing after correction
Check the profile again over the next several days and review Google’s owner emails. If the hours revert, record the date, identify the exact conflicting source, and correct that source instead of repeatedly editing only Google.

Why does Google change my hours?+
Google may use owner edits, user suggestions, information from the website, holidays, and other sources. Conflicting public information makes corrections harder to trust.
Should I use special hours for holidays?+
Yes. Set special hours for holidays or one-off changes rather than changing the regular weekly schedule and forgetting to change it back.
Can a customer edit my hours?+
People can suggest edits. Owners should monitor notifications and keep the website and other trusted sources accurate.
What if I offer emergency calls after office hours?+
List hours that accurately describe availability and explain emergency service clearly. Do not claim 24-hour availability unless customers can reach the business around the clock.
